Can’t wait to see the pics and read your thoughts on the tour(s). Hope you do the Fortin Rum, given its history and the fact I did drive by it to take a picture.

All being well I will be able to take a tour of either Fortin or another distillery which has recently opened even nearer to my house in the first couple of months of 2023. The dates available at the end of this year either clashed with something or were on wet days. And you are quite right there, for a very reasonable amount of money it is possible for me to get something of a good quality and that’s locally made.

Now if only I could’ve done a tour but all I could do was take a picture outside on the road and drive off. Both the dark and the light so delicious. And inexpensive (G25,000 and G17,000 respectively at the Whiskey House across the street from the Shell station on Ayalos by the Hotel Palmaroga!

Took me back to my days in Bowen where my family lived (north Queensland). Sometimes I get that ‘Christmas Feeling” in summer here in UK.
