This was to mark the end of commercial use of steam locomotives in Paraguay, their final duty being to marshal container flat cars in the Argentine/Paraguay road/rail exchange yard on the Paraguay side of the Parana bridge. The main rail route to Encarnacion had already been closed by then. The DVD was professionally video’d in 1991 when a through passenger coach still worked to/from Argentina, and the weekly mail train ran to Asuncion. Included is good quality archive film of the steam worked train ferry across the Parana from Posadas prior to construction of the bridge. The 35 minute DVD is now on Utube , just search Great Railways Paraguay. Enjoy!
